Our desire is to see God’s Word available to everyone in Madagascar in a language that truly speaks to them. This is a long and difficult task; hundreds of people are involved not just in Madagascar, but across the world. Problems and opposition come from many different places. However, we place our hope in God, and trust that God will sustain this work and cause success.
We would be delighted if you could hold Madagascar and Together in Bible Translation in your prayers. Below are some key things to pray for:
For Madagascar
- National elections will take pass in November 2023, please pray for peaceful elections and wisdom for those leading Madagascar.
- Madagascar is currently experiencing its worst drought in 40 years, resulting in food shortages and loss of life. Please pray that aid would get to those in dire need.
- Pray for rain. Rain for crops to grow, rain for drinking, rain for cooking and cleaning. Please pray for good rain across the country.
For Together in Bible Translation
- Praise God for the recent Workshop that was held, and pray that every team would be encouraged by the time had together as a larger group.
- Many translation teams are spread out, please pray for safe travel and good opportunities to work together.
- And for solid internet connections when working with translation consultants remotely.
- There is also a need for further funding for all projects.
Special Project
- As part of our vision for seeing Bible translation happen more effectively in Madagascar, we have located a property that we hope to purchase and renovate. This property would be used for training Bible translators, facilitating translation workshops and be a resource centre for all of our teams to use.
Please pray that we would raise the €450,000 needed to complete this project.
